When you plan to have your wedding in an indoor venue, there’s added pressure to make the space your own. A backyard wedding allows you to use trees and surrounding elements to create a beautiful ceremony backdrop.
Classic florals, a wooden arch, and earthy red tones made Hannah + Nick’s wedding simple but gorgeous.
Nick actually handmade the wooden arch that was placed at the end of the aisle! Their guests gathered on the lawn for their backyard ceremony, which was so lovely. We chose a grassy clearing for group portraits that had mountain views in the background. Another great reason to get married in Asheville!
Nature was a big theme for their day. The wedding favors for guests were beautiful packets of flower seeds. They used tree stumps as stands for the ceremony florals, and a lone tree acted as the backdrop while they said “I do”.
If you love spending time outdoors together, then a backyard wedding may be a perfect option for you.
